Lightsabers

In response to my mom's comment. Lightsabers are made of pure energy harnessed by a crystal in the hilt. Each crystal is a different color depending on the class of Jedi. Jedi Guardians are those Jedi of focus on combat training and mastery of the Lightsaber - Blue I believe (can't remember off hand). Jedi Consulars are jedi who seek to bring balance to the universe. Their focus is less on combat and more on mental discipline to augment their mastery of the force - Yellow. Lastly, the Jedi Sentinel. These Jedi strike a balance between to physical combat and mental disciplines - Green. These are basics colors which can be altered by adding different crystals to your lightsaber. An example would be Mace Windu's purple lightsaber. Red is generally associated with the dark side. Have you heard of the lasted dark lord - Darth Dew. Sorry, just a plug for 7-11's flavour of the month for May (Black Mountain Dew). You can also learn the Freeze with Yoda (Mountain Dew).

Tooth Fairy

My daughter lost her first tooth the other day. We told her to put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy. In the morning there was a loonie where the tooth was. On the way to school she said maybe that loonie was already there Dad? Do you know the tooth fairy Dad?

I'm Still here

I haven't posted anything for awhile. I have been busy playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It's a cool game. Star Wars meets Final Fantasy. You acutally have to train to become a Jedi. So, I'm a Padawan now. I found out how a lightsaber works and what the different colors mean.

Bad News, Good News, Better News

Well in a matter of two I lost my job with 7-11(the bad news), got rehired by them (the good news), and got transfered to another store (the better news). I also got paid for 3 hours for Monday night and 8 hours for Tuesday so I only lost 5 hours, which is ok because I had 7 hours OT anyway. I was driving to pick up my daughter from school and thanked God for giving me my job back only to have Him say, 'Wait, I'm not done yet.' I was going to ask for a transfer and now I have one and didn't even have to ask for one.

Supermovies

I was looking at a magazine the other day. They had a article about someone who works for Marvel studios. He was talking about all the projects currently on the menu. The first of course is the Fantastic Four, coming out on I believe on July 4. Spidey 3 is scheduled for filming in 2006. X3 is waiting for a director. Other movies on the horizon are Silver Surfer, Iron Man, The Avengers (which I believe is going straight to DVD). There were others but I can't remeber what they are.

Happy McBirthday

Well, today was McD's birthday. Yep, Ronnie and the Big Mac are 50. They were talking about it on C95 this morning. One guy called in a said he ate fourteen cheeseburgers in one sitting. He must love his cheeseburger as much as the Gourd, I think it was Jerry, in Mr. Lunt's cheeseburger song(reference to Veggie Tales). And now that the drivethru is 24hrs, you don't have to wait until sunrise and doze off once or twice and end going to Denny's and bacon and eggs for half price. You can love your cheeseburgers at any time of the day.

Lego - Just Fun For Kids?

Well, I know some people have had loads of fun with lego. Those are the people who created Lego Star Wars. I rented it for PS2 the other day and boy what fun. You play through the first 3 episodes, yes that's right Revenge of the Sith to. So, needless to say, I have an overview of what happens in EIII. Does that mean I won't go see movie? Of course not don't be ridiculus. I will probably a few times. And I'm not telling you a thing. It is a rather easy game, after all its geared towards kids. But us adults can enjoy it to.

Be own your toes

Last night, or guess this morning, at work this lady came in with five DVD's and and a carton of cigs. She said that she bought them last night and decided that she didn't want them anymore and a refund. I looked at the carton and noticed that it had a sticker from another 7-11 store. This told that she bought them there and that she probably bought the movies there to but there was no way to tell where they were from. So I got the Assistant Manager to check the computer she told the lady that she went back two days and couldn't find any sales for the movies. The lady said that she must've bought them somewhere else. I guess so. Nice try I told myself.

Burdens - Not a matter to yoke about.

On sunday morning Dr. Mark Barclay was a guest speaker at church. His message very good. His text was Isaiah 10:27

"It shall come to pass in that day..." That day being today.
"That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder. And his yoke from your neck and the yoke will be destroyed" His burden being the 'bad guy's' burden. As christians what can the enemy burden us with? He can burden with all kinds of stuff. Pressure,cancer, worry, debt, and depression to name a few. Same thing with yokes. A yoke is like a necktie. If you grab a hold of the inside tie and pull it real hard you make that person go anywhere you want them to. Some yokes the enemy uses are insecurities, inferiority, and migranes to name a few. These are things he uses to control us. So, how can these burdens be taken away and these yokes be destroyed - God's anoiting. This is not something you can get at the corner store or from your doctor. The only place to get the anoiting is from being in God's presence. The bigger the burden the more anointing you need.

Can Jesus put burdens and yokes on us? Yes, but His yoke is easy and His burden is light. We need to take on His burden and His yoke. His burden is the word and his yoke is to take on His lifestyle.

I responded 'No, what?'

A little while later, a few weeks, I took these pictures of her reading to her brothers. I guess it's not to hard after all.

Frustrated at work.

Another day, another fifty cents. Just referring to the fact that they don't pay enough to up with the @$%# that I have to at work. Last night my cover left at 1am, as always. Normally this is not a problem, that course depends on who is working in the kitchen. The lady that I worked with last night, the same one that I usually work with, seldom answers when I buzz, hardly ever watches the till so that I can get my sandwich production done and she does she will help until her chicken runs out or the customers are gone, at which point she says 'can I go cook or do whatever she has to do.' Last night for example, she ran till for awhile and then had to go cook. She said she would be right back. When somebody says they'll be right back - I don't expect that to be an hour later. To make a long story short I should've had my prod. done at around 2:30-3:00 instead I was done at 4:30. So now I'm two hours behind, the store is a disaster and I have an hour and half to cash out and clean up the store before the boss comes in. As they say crap rolls down hill and at 7-11, because I work at night, it lands on my head. I get yelled at first about what wasn't done from 4, when the manager leaves until 6:30 when she arrives. I've just about had enough of it (nights at 7-11 or maybe 7-11 period).
